Classical musicians Lucy and Matthew Knight founded Treble & Trumpet when their industry shut down in March 2020 at the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. Unexpectedly stuck at home with a new baby, the opera singer and Royal Philharmonic Orchestra trombonist became frustrated by the lack of high-quality nursery rhymes on Spotify and the streaming services.
Knowing the benefits of classical music for little ones, they started writing new arrangements which used the full range of the symphony orchestra, recording them from their home in the Chilterns. Their first album ‘The Classical Nursery’ received an overwhelmingly positive response from parents, and was praised in the national press as a ‘must-have’ album.
